Clean Energy in Development
Nuevo León is developing 8,280 MW of clean energy capacity across wind, solar, hydrogen, gas, and mixed generation projects.
Natural Gas Infrastructure
The Los Ramones pipeline system is Mexico's largest private gas infrastructure project, delivering US-sourced natural gas directly to Nuevo León's industrial zones. Capacity: 2.1 billion cubic feet/day.
- Competitive industrial tariffs — avg. $3.20/MMBtu
- 14 municipalities with direct pipeline connection
- Dual-source redundancy: Los Ramones I + II
CFE Transmisión operates the high-voltage network covering 100% of Nuevo León's industrial municipalities. Lines at 400 kV, 230 kV, and 115 kV. Connection times: 6–18 months depending on voltage level.
The energy reform allows PPAs directly with private generators (Iberdrola, ENGIE, EDF). PPAs offer 15–25 year price certainty, up to 30% energy cost reduction, and apply toward corporate ESG targets.
