
The Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, led a working tour of Japan and South Korea to attract investment and strengthen ties with companies in electromobility, technology and the automotive industry. The delegation included the Sub-secretary of Investment, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (SIIIA), Emmanuel Loo.
During the tour, the delegation held meetings with more than 30 companies and secured US$3 billion in investment for the state.
Key investments
Among the projects confirmed during the tour:
- Kia México and its suppliers: US$600 million
- DH Autoware: US$167 million
- Nifco: US$147 million
- Yazaki: US$66 million (new wire-harness plant)
- Hyundai WIA and Hyundai Mobis: expansion of operations
Nuevo León and Asia
The state is home to 68 Japanese and 281 Korean companies. So far this administration, Nuevo León has surpassed US$120 billion in foreign direct investment, creating more than 420,000 jobs.
Tours like this reinforce Nuevo León's position as Mexico's leading nearshoring and electromobility destination, as new supply chains arrive in the region.
